Zipline operates a drone delivery system at national scale to send urgent medicines (like blood) to patients, no matter where they live.

This California company developed a fixed-wing drone that can fly longer than most multi-rotor copters, while carrying lifesaving medical supplies to remote or otherwise time-consuming locations that would take a long time to get to (e.g. mountains, across lakes, etc.)

It’s a great use of the technology.
